Aasthapan (kashaya) Basti

Kashaya basti is a part of panchkarma therapies in ayurveda. It is a combination of decoction, honey, oil and other herbal medicines. this mixture is administrated through anal route using basti instrument. The person will be observed throughout the procedure, after sometimes he feels urge to evacuate. Hot water bath and special diet are recommended after this basti.  A combination of kashaya basti and sneh basti are advised depending upon the condition of person.
