Ashtgun Mand Traditional Recipe Today is the first post of the year 2025 and on that note sharing a traditional Ayurveda recipe called Ashtgun Mand which can be given from kids to elders
Indications:
- To improve the digestion
- Improve Strength
- Cleanse and detox the kidney and bladder
- Improve Haemoglobin
- Balances all the three doshas
- When one has fever best food to eat
- Weightloss dinner
Ashtguna Mand
- 4 parts Rice
- 1 part green moong daal
- 14 times water ( 16 parts of water)
- 1 Part of trikatu ( Pepper + long pepper + ginger)/ Anammyaa Digestive Chooran
- Coriander seeds
- Sendha Namak
- Curry leaves
- Heeng fried in ghee
- Sesame Oil
Boil 1 katori Rice + ¼ katori of green moong daal in 16 katori of water until fully cooked.
Sieve the water / Mand in a separate Bowl
In a separate Pan sauté in sesame oil add curry leaves Trikatu churan / Anammyaa Digestive chooran 5 gms 2 gms coriander powder + sendha namak to taste and heeng fried in cow ghee . Add this to the Mand squeeze ½ lemon . Have this warm before the food
